Daniel McElrath

Partner

A seventh-generation Austinite, Daniel brings deep local knowledge, relationships, and 12+ years of experience in the real estate and construction industries. As Partner, he leads acquisition and entitlement efforts across Central Texas. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to projects totaling more than 1,250 acres, spanning suburban master plans and infill podiums, representing over 7,000 residential units and 250 acres of commercial land. His responsibilities have spanned acquisition, entitlement, and development, depending on the project.

Prior to joining River City Capital Partners, Daniel held roles with Jimmy Evans Company, Milestone Community Builders, Intracorp Homes, and NXTSTEP Opportunity Partners, where he focused on land acquisition, entitlement strategy, and development execution across a range of asset types.

He also co-founded PitTicket Pro, a civil construction software platform later acquired by Command Alkon, a Thoma Bravo-backed firm. Through that experience he gained practical insight in building and managing entrepreneurial organizations centered around construction and development.

Daniel holds a BBA in Economics from Texas State University and earned his MBA from the Acton School of Business, graduating valedictorian of his class. He is an active member of the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and Commercial Real Estate Development Association (CREDA).
